How Chiifys collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.

Who we are
This website belongs to Chiifys Events & Catering, a catering and event planning business serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area of Texas. In this policy, "Chiifys," "we" and "us" mean Chiifys Events & Catering. You can reach us any time at chiifyscatering@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us.
- Inquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), occasion, event date, estimated guest count, city or venue, budget range, the service you want, any menu dishes or planning package you select, and the details you write in the notes.
- Cookbook waitlist: your email address and first name (optional).
- Emails and calls: whatever you share when you contact us directly.
Our website host may automatically log basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use no advertising trackers and no analytics tools on this site, and we do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry, prepare a quote or proposal, and plan your event.
- To send cookbook launch news and the occasional recipe, only if you joined the waitlist. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
- To keep the business records we need for quotes, contracts, payments and taxes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the site and receive your messages, including our website host (Netlify) and our email provider.
- Vendors and team members who need event details to serve you, such as venue contacts or staff, and only as needed for your event.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Our pages load the Urbanist font from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and event records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our business, legal and tax obligations. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop receiving emails, by writing to chiifyscatering@gmail.com. Every email we send about the cookbooks can be answered with "unsubscribe."
Children
This site is for adults planning events. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No website or email is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or other highly sensitive details through the inquiry form.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
